About Breathing Flame
We work at the intersection of physiology, environment, and decision-making to help people perform at a high level without burning out their biology.
Our Story
Breathing Flame was born from a simple observation: most high-functioning people are not broken. They are misconfigured.
Modern life places extraordinary demands on the human nervous system. Without deliberate recovery, regulation, and integration, performance eventually degrades.
We combine evidence-based physiological training with immersive environments to help people recalibrate how they operate.
The result is not a temporary breakthrough, but sustainable change that holds under pressure. Our work is rooted in Spain, with ongoing programs and private engagements in Málaga and Marbella, and select international locations.
Frequently Asked Questions
Learn more about our mission, methods, and team
- How did Breathing Flame get started?
- Breathing Flame emerged in 2023 when two strands of Oscar Trelles’s work began to converge: a long-running systems inquiry into context, behavior, and operating conditions, and a newer embodied practice involving breathwork, cold exposure, nervous-system regulation, and systemic facilitation. Burnout was an important part of the personal history, but it was not the beginning of the inquiry. Breathing Flame became the applied home for bringing those strands together.
- What makes your approach different?
- We do not focus on motivation, mindset hacks, or isolated techniques. Our work is systems-based. We address how the nervous system, metabolism, environment, and daily rhythms interact to shape performance over time. Change happens not by pushing harder, but by redesigning the conditions people operate within.
- Is Breathing Flame only about breathwork?
- No. Breathwork is one tool within a broader systems approach. [The Human OS Manual](https://thehumanosmanual.com/) provides the wider framework; Breathing Flame applies selected tools such as breath, cold and heat exposure, movement, food timing, rest, systemic facilitation, and environmental design in guided settings.
- Who is this work designed for?
- Our work is designed for individuals and leaders who operate at a high level and feel the long-term cost of sustained stress. It is especially relevant for entrepreneurs, executives, and professionals seeking clarity, resilience, and longevity without sacrificing performance.
- Do you guarantee outcomes?
- We do not promise specific outcomes. Human systems are complex, and real change depends on engagement and integration. What we do guarantee is a rigorously designed environment, evidence-informed practices, and clear guidance to support meaningful, lasting change.
- Do you offer scholarships or reduced pricing?
- We reserve a limited number of supported places for select programs. These are offered intentionally and based on alignment, not entitlement. If cost is a genuine barrier, we invite you to reach out.
- How can I stay connected or learn more?
- The best way to understand our work is through direct experience. You can also join our newsletter or follow our channels for insights, upcoming programs, and invitations to live sessions.
